A fine dining flagship by acclaimed chef Jonathan Benno, the recently opened ‘Benno’ restaurant is the namesake chef’s third and final eatery in the newly renovated Evelyn Hotel. Best known for his Italian and French flavors, the Mediterranean-inspired cuisine of this refined, upscale eatery was a departure for Chef Benno, and a challenge he welcomed with open arms and excited taste buds. Diners are offered a choice between three, four or five courses from a menu with dishes ranging from a simple salad with kohlrabi beets and sunchokes, and grass-fed beef tartare finished with black truffles, to decadent sea urchin spaghetti and olive oil poached trout infused with Middle Eastern and Moroccan flavors. If you’re lucky enough to bypass the extensive waiting list for a reservation in restaurant’s 45-seat dining room, Benno is a fine dining must go for a decadent dinner around the holidays.
