La Mamounia

La Mamounia, arguably most iconic hotel in Marrakech, opened its doors in 1923 and was recently brought back to its original glory by world-class architect Jacques Garcia; Garcia’s most well known creations include the renowned Hôtel Costes and The Peninsula in Paris. This legendary property, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, has hosted some of history’s most influential figures, from prominent politician Winston Churchill and US President Franklin Roosevelt, to English rock star Mick Jagger.

Today, La Mamounia boasts 209 sumptuous suites, including three riads (traditional Moroccan homes), all of which are lavishly decorated and exude majestic Moroccan accents, including vibrant tiles and fabrics, as well as copious amounts of silver and dark wood.

Make sure to visit La Mamounia’s ultra pampering spa, which is also open to non-hotel guests, during your visit to Morocco’s Red City. This relaxing sanctuary offers exotic massages, both traditional and modern treatments, and of course, an Instagram-worthy indoor pool.
