Renaissance

Nestled within the back streets of Paris’s 7th arrondissement is a discrete single-room boutique with the finest vintage couture offerings in the entire city of lights. La Renaissance has occupied the same location since 1989, when owner Corinne Than-Trong's mother began filling its miniature sales floor with a perfectly curated selection of vintage haute couture and costume jewelry. On any particular visit one might be sifting through the racks and stumble upon fabulous 70s Dior gowns by Marc Bohan, a full ensemble from Yves Saint Laurent’s 1976 Ballet Russes collection, original 1950s Balenciaga, Paco Rabanne from the 60s and trays of perfectly kept Chanel costume jewelry. La Renaissance is always top on my list when visiting Paris and should be one of any vintage lover’s first stops.
