The retailer has finally opened its doors in New York City after a four-year renovation to restore its historic 12,000 square foot, six-floor cast iron building to its original glory. From luxury fashion offerings by Chanel and Dior, to exclusive Maison Michel hats and vitrines of fine jewelry that will make any shopper swoon, there are options galore for women, men, children and home. Whether on the hunt to buy or just browse, it is worth a trip down to 29 Greene Street to experience the store’s beautiful Terazzo flooring, hand painted glass panels and site-specific creations by Italian architect Gaetano Pesce. It will certainly be a challenge to walk out without one of The Webster’s trademark flamingo-bearing shopping bags in hand!
