The Ultimate Sneaker Collection
Sotheby’s x Stadium Goods

Virgil Abloh
Nike, Off-White, Air Max 97
New York-based auction house Sotheby’s is teaming up with Farfetch-owned, streetwear marketplace Stadium Goods, for its first-ever online auction dedicated to sneakers. Though only one small step for Sotheby’s, which operates hundreds of curated sales annually ranging from fine art and rare wines, to jewelry and vintage automobiles, the Stadium Goods partnership represents an otherwise giant leap for streatwear, underlining the growing, worldwide fascination with collectible footwear and the rising marketability of sneakers as global status symbols.
